Guadalupe Sheriff’s deputies say a driver lost control of his cement truck while driving along Highway 46.
SEGUIN, Texas — The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office says a cement truck overturned early Wednesday, shutting down a portion of Highway 46 for several hours.
Both northbound lanes of Highway 46 between Cordova Road and Link Road were closed throughout the morning before reopening early Wednesday afternoon.
The truck’s operator was temporarily trapped inside the vehicle but was safely freed by first responders, officials said. The driver was evaluated on the scene by EMS personnel and declined to be transported to a local hospital.
Deputies remained at the scene to assist with traffic control and ensure public safety until the vehicles could be cleared from the roadway.
