
A high-speed chase on San Antonio’s southeast side ended in a crash as DPS assisted Homeland Security. The driver was arrested, while others faced minor injuries.
SAN ANTONIO — A chase on the southeast side involving Texas DPS and the Department of Homeland Security ended in a crash Friday morning.
The incident happenend off Pecan Valley Drive and East Southcross Road just after 11:30 a.m.
DPS says it all started when that department stepped into help Homeland Security investigators. Troopers reportedly spotted a Dodge Charger on the northeast side near Kirby off Gibbs Sprawl Road and Old Seguin Road.
The driver of the Charger then led troopers on a chase for miles, ending when the Charger crashed into two other vehicles off Pecan Valley Drive and East Southcross Road.
Federal agents arrived on scene and took the driver into custody. The innocent drivers caught up in the crash escaped with minor injuries.
DPS did not release any details on the Homeland Security investigation or why they were looking for that man driving the Charge. KENS 5 has reached out to Homeland Security Investigations for more information.
