SAN ANTONIO — A driver is in custody after leading DPS troopers on a pursuit across San Antonio Tuesday afternoon.
According to DPS, a trooper attempted to conduct a traffic stop around 1:42 p.m. on a black Ford Edge on the city’s southside. Officials say the driver failed to stop and began evading troopers throughout the city.
The pursuit came to an end near U.S. 281 and Jones Maltsberger Rd., where troopers were able to disable the vehicle.
Authorities say the driver was identified as a 35-year-old woman and taken into custody. She was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
The suspect will be charged with evading arrest and detention in a motor vehicle.
DPS says this is an ongoing investigation.
