SAN ANTONIO — The owner of a popular San Antonio restaurant says a food truck that was stolen overnight was found with all the parts stripped out of it.
Most of us in San Antonio have seen the brightly-colored Cheesy Jane’s food truck offering food at large events around town. Tuesday morning, the owner contacted police when they noticed it had been stolen from its usual park spot outside the restaurant in the 4200 block of Broadway.
Police say they do not know exactly when the food truck was stolen.
Later in the morning, the restaurant’s owner reported the colorful food truck was recovered, but everything had been taken out of it. The owner said it was stripped of all equipment, windows, shelves, vent hood, fridges, fryers, and A/C units.
No one has yet been arrested, according to a police report. If you know anything about this crime, you are asked to call police.
