NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. — A child suffered a minor injury when a vehicle backing out of a parking spot in the North Tonawanda Walmart parking lot hit another vehicle with a child caught in between the vehicles.

The driver of the vehicle backing out was ticketed by police for unsafe backing.
Back in September, a woman was struck and killed in the same Walmart parking lot.
Faye Haner, 74, of North Tonawanda. was struck by a vehicle while crossing through the crosswalk into the parking lot at Walmart. She died at the scene. Police said a 51-year-old woman in that accident was driving an SUV and allegedly failed to yield and hit the woman. She is cooperating with the investigation, police said.
