CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A special event celebrating an icon in the local dance scene, Christina Sterling Munro.
The Artistic Director of the Corpus Christi Ballet, but before she was leading ladies here at home, she was showing off her own skills across the nation and around the world.
Her legacy lining the walls of the Corpus Christi Country Club Friday night as she was surrounded by her dancing community.
She gave 3NEWS an insight of what it was like on tour with a company in England!
“I have a lot of chance to go on a tour with a company from England,” she said. “We went everywhere behind the iron curtain, to all over Europe, to South America.”
What a journey Munro has lived. Ballet took her “everywhere” even 40 years with the company here in Corpus Christi.
