The city says these hubs are designed to give folks a safe and warm place to stay.
SAN ANTONIO — The City of San Antonio is opening quite a few places where folks can get inside and out of the cold during the freezing temperatures forecast in our area.
The “Resilience Hubs” will be opening starting at 6 p.m. on Monday, January 20. The city says these hubs are designed to be accessible and equitable facilities where community members can access essential resources and information during times of need.
Each location will provide basic needs and supplies, shelter from the severe cold, access to power and device charging, and free wi-fi. Remember to bring clothes, supplies, and any medicine with you that you will need. Kennels will be available for pets in a separate area at these locations.
You can also ride on VIA for free to any of these locations.
Make sure you tell the driver when you get on board and if using VIAtrans, make sure to alert the reservation agent when you book your trip.
