City of Schertz mourns loss of councilmember

The City of Schertz announces the passing of City Councilmember Tim Brown, honoring him for his service and leadership.

SCHERTZ, Texas — The City of Schertz has announced that on of their city councilmembers have passed away.

Tim Brown was elected to City Council Place 7 in 2018. Before he was on the City Council, the city says he was the president of the Schertz Economic Development Corporation from 2011 to 2018. He also represented Schertz on the Schertz-Seguin Local Government Corportation.

He was a retired Chief Master Sergeant in the US Air Force and served 28 years as a special operations combat controller before he started real estate.

“Councilmember Brown will be remembered for his strong sense of service, leadership, and commitment to his community and country,” the city said in their news release. “He was an authentic and compassionate man who genuinely cared for the well-being of others, and his legacy of kindness and service will continue to inspire all who knew him. The City of Schertz extends its heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.”

The City of Schertz have provided his cause of death.

Funeral and memorial service details will be shared when available.
