Here’s what Mitch Johnson, Keldon Johnson, and Harrison Barnes had to say following the Spurs’ road loss to the Clippers.

Mitch Johnson:

“Sometimes when teams get that aggressive, you need to go by and make a play, and the more you’re a little bit of trying to execute and move the ball around, it just feeds into their aggressiveness.”

“I even told the guys in the huddle, there was one play out of the timeout I drew something up. It was probably too cute. It was just one of those times the game where you knew they were just going to get in your face and in your chest and it needed to be an A to B direct north south.”

Keldon Johnson:

“The main thing right now is finish out the season strong, finish out the season healthy, and continue to build good habits in these last few games that we have. So we can carry it over to the summer. So that can carry over to next year.”

“I thought Mitch has done a great job just stepping up and just continuing to lead this group. It’s a lot of different things have happened. My 13 years it’s been the most that I’ve been a part of. But I still have to say, I think Mitch has done a great job of steadying the ship and being consistent every single day.”
