Coca-Cola expanding operations in San Antonio

One of the largest Coca-Cola bottlers in the U.S. is set to strengthen its production and warehouse operations in the Alamo City.

SAN ANTONIO — Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages (CCSWB) is set to expand operations in San Antonio.

One of the largest Coca-Cola bottlers in the United States is set to strengthen its production and warehouse operations in the Alamo City.

“Our current priority is to be a people-driven, digital bottler,” says Jean Claude Tissot, president of Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages. “The investments we are making at our San Antonio facility will help us continue to achieve this goal and better serve our customers.”

CCSWB is the local Coca-Cola bottler for Texas, parts of Oklahoma, New Mexico and Arkansas, providing Coca-Cola products to more than 31 million consumers across the region.

San Antonio has been the bottler’s home for nearly 60 years and this $42 million investment will reportedly include, “warehouse expansion and a new parking lot totaling approximately 170,000 square feet,” along with a new can line to support increased production.

“Our territory is one of the fastest growing regions in the United States. Our expansion plans are aligned with the ongoing growth we are experiencing in San Antonio and beyond. We want to ensure we are keeping up with the demand in the communities we serve,” said Tissot.

Construction is set to begin on March 5.
