SAN ANTONIO — The laughs are back, and so is one of the biggest names behind the “Scary Movie” franchise.
Actor and comedian Marlon Wayans made a surprise appearance in San Antonio this week as excitement builds around the release of “Scary Movie 6.”
Wayans stopped by the Alamo Drafthouse at Park North during a fan screening, giving local moviegoers an unexpected chance to see one of the franchise’s original stars in person.
The sixth installment of the long-running comedy series marks a reunion more than two decades in the making. Original franchise star Anna Faris returns as Cindy Campbell and Regina Hall as Brenda Meeks, reuniting with the Wayans family, who helped create the hit parody franchise.
