
All southbound mainlanes of I-35 were shutdown as authorities investigated the crash and worked to clear the roadway.
LIVE OAK, Texas — A major crash involving a commercial vehicle and two Texas Department of Transportation Scorpion barricade vehicles caused traffic delays Friday morning along Interstate 35 at Loop 1604, authorities said.
Live Oak Police were called to the crash around 5:30 a.m., where the commercial vehicle struck the two TxDOT barricade trucks while under the 1604 elevated lanes.
According to a release, emergency responders located two people involved in the collision, They were taken to a local hospital and officials said they are currently in stable condition.
Live Oak Police said due to the severity of the crash and the “presence of fluid leakage,” all southbound mainlanes of I-35 were shutdown as authorities investigated the crash and worked to clear the roadway. Traffic was diverted at the Anderson Loop exit.
