Concerned Fort Worth mother shares plea about her son who has been missing since mid-December

“In my heart, I want to believe he is still alive, Just let me know that he is alive, please, I just need to know he’s okay,” Elanor Holiday said.

FORT WORTH, Texas — A Fort Worth mother is desperately searching for answers about her missing 21-year-old son who hasn’t been seen in over two weeks.

Marquise Browner was last seen on Dec. 18 when his mother, Elanor Holiday, dropped him off at the FedEx facility in Fort Worth. Marquise started working at FedEx as a package handler in June of last year. He enjoyed his job, his mother said and he was excited about the new friends he made at work.

During an interview with WFAA Tuesday morning, Elanor Holiday did her best to fight the tears while explaining the last time she saw her son was on Dec. 18, 2024.

“We dropped him off at work around 6 o’clock in the evening. I thought he had gone in,” Elanor Holiday said.

The next day, Holiday learned from her son’s supervisor that Marquise never clocked in for his shift. When she searched his room, she found his FedEx work ID still there and it was a discovery that immediately raised concerns.

Elanor Holiday said, “I called 911 for a missing person and said my son did not come home last night. He’s missing,”

Fort Worth Police have confirmed they’ve conducted searches of local hospitals, morgues, and jails, but so far have found no trace of Browner. Holiday’s own investigation revealed that her son’s bank card was used on Dec. 19 at a Fort Worth Whataburger and a nearby gas station.

The passing of Christmas without any contact from Marquise has only intensified his mother’s concerns, especially given that he requires regular medication.

“When he was not feeling himself he would come and tell me and take his medicine,” Holiday explained.

Marquise Browner’s sister visited FedEx where he works to inquire if they have security video of her brother leaving the facility after she and her mother dropped him off last month. She is also hoping the Fort Worth Police Detective assigned to the case is doing the same at the restaurant and gas station near their home where his bank card was used before he went missing.

“Marquise has never gone a single day without calling or texting us,” said Angela Jones, “He and our sister are only 11 months apart and they are very close. Some people even think they are twins because they look so much alike.”

Looking at the countless family photos covering her walls, Holiday’s deep love for her son is evident. While she admits to fearing the worst, she maintains hope.

“In my heart, I want to believe he is still alive,” Holiday said, “Just let me know that he is alive, please, I just need to know he’s okay.”

Elanor Holiday shared with WFAA that Marquise has big dreams of being a rapper one day. He has even shared some of his songs with his coworkers at FedEx.

“He said, Mom, they really like my music, and they say I have skills,” said Elanor Holiday.

Anyone with information about Marquise Browner’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Fort Worth Police Department.
