
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A swimmer reported missing near Bob Hall Pier and Whitecap Beach was found “safe and sound” on shore at 6:37 p.m. Saturday, according to officials.
The search began around 4:45 p.m. after the man was last seen near Beach Marker 237. Authorities described him as a Hispanic male wearing black shorts and a blue shirt.
Nueces County Emergency Services District No. 2 confirmed on social media that Beach Rescue, Corpus Christi police and fire departments, and the U.S. Coast Guard all took part in the search effort by land, sea and air.
“Three cheers for all the agencies working together on such a successful outcome!” ESD No. 2 said in a post to social media.
