Couple’s argument leads woman to get out of car, get hit by vehicle, SAPD says

The woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

SAN ANTONIO — A woman is in critical condition after getting hit by a vehicle early Sunday morning following an argument with her significant other, authorities said. 

San Antonio police responded to a call at I-35 near Nogalitos Street around 2 a.m. 

According to a police sergeant on scene, a couple got into a argument of some sort while driving down I-35. During the fight, the woman wanted to get out of the car so the driver pulled over and the woman exited. 

Authorities said that while the woman was attempting to cross I-35 she was struck by a vehicle. 

The woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Her current status is unknown. 

According to SAPD, the driver that hit her did not stop and is still on the run. Police did not give a description of the suspect’s vehicle. 

I-35 was shutdown for a few hours as crews worked to clear the scene. 

No other information was provided.
