Cow rescued from frozen pond in Denton County

DENTON COUNTY, Texas — First responders in Denton County say they rescued a cow that had fallen through an iced-over pond in Copper Canyon this week.

Crews used straps and a tractor borrowed from Copper Canyon town council member Chase Lybbert to bring the cow out of the pond, then warmed her up with blankets, according to Denton County Emergency Services.

Officials say the appreciative cow got up to follow firefighters as they left the scene.
