Crews battled multiple-structure blaze southwest of downtown

Firefighters were able to save two of the homes, but said the third is a total loss.

SAN ANTONIO — Fire crews battled a heavy fire that involved three homes early Wednesday morning.

It happened just before 1 a.m. in the 1200 block of West Harlan Avenue near West Southcross Boulevard.

When first responders arrived at the location, there were three homes on fire, with heavy flames shooting from the roof.  They were able to save two of the houses but say that the third one is a total loss.

Everyone was able to get out of the houses safely and no injures were reported.

The cause is under investigation.
