SAN ANTONIO — It’s been one year since a 63-year-old woman was found dead at an east-side park. Stacey Dramiga’s body was found one year ago at Dafoste Park, one day after she was reported missing.
Park safety was a real concern with Dramiga’s death because outside of witnesses who saw her the day she went missing, police can’t figure out her last moment’s alive.
Dramiga went to walk the Salado Creek Greenway Trail at Comanche Park in September of 2024.
When she didn’t come back home by evening, her husband reported her missing. A Clear Alert was issued and the family pinged her phone location one day later, leading to her body being found at Dafoste Park.
Bexar County deputies found her body in a wooded area off the Salado Creek Greenway Trail.
The medical examiner’s office says Dramiga was killed by blunt force trauma and severe head injuries.
“I love my mom, I miss her so much, and I’ll think about her every day for the rest of my life,” said Maisha Dramiga, Stacey’s daughter.
Miles separate Comanche and Dafoste Park, and police have to try to process everything they’ve found since Dramiga was killed.
They did arrest Marco Flores the day her body was found after he ran away when officers were attempting to question him.
He was charged with evading arrest, but police have not tied him to the case.
