
Police say video shows several people in the area who may know what happened and who was responsible.
SAN ANTONIO — SAN ANTONIO — More than two years later, detectives are still searching for answers in the deadly shooting of a 15-year-old boy on the southwest side of San Antonio.
San Antonio police say Ethan Martinez was shot and killed on the night of Dec. 30, 2023, outside his apartment complex in the 6000 block of Ray Ellison Boulevard.
Investigators say just before 9 p.m., Ethan left his apartment to meet with several people in the parking lot to sell vape cartridges. Moments later, gunfire broke out.
Ethan was struck by the bullets and died at the scene.
Police say surveillance video shows numerous people in the area at the time of the shooting, and detectives believe some of them may have critical information about what happened, or who pulled the trigger.
Crime Stoppers re-released the case, hoping someone will come forward with new tips that could help identify and arrest the suspect or suspects involved.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to a felony arrest in the case.
Tips must be submitted directly to Crime Stoppers to be eligible for the reward. All calls are anonymous.
