CRYSTAL CITY, Texas — A Crystal City Housing Authority employee is facing charges, accused of misusing public funds.
61-year-old Veronica Carranza Perales was arrested after an extensive investigation.
Deputies also executed a search warrant on Tuesday and found financial records at her home.
The sheriff’s office says, it has video showing Perales using a housing authority H-E-B credit card to make unauthorized personal purchases.
The Zavala County Sheriff’s Office says she used more than $8,000 dollars.
