DALLAS — When it comes to facing the New York Giants, Dak Prescott is larger than life.
The Dallas Cowboys quarterback has posted a flawless 13-0 record against the G-Men since losing to the division rival twice in his rookie season (2016).
“Hope to keep that going,” Prescott smirked. “That’s the plan. Studying, preparing, doing everything in my power to make sure that I’m prepared to keep that going.”
The Giants may be in for another long day when they come to town in Week 2 — the Cowboys’2025 home opener at AT&T Stadium.
“He’s hoopin’,” said Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb. “He’s been hoopin’ since camp. And I texted him. I’m like, ‘Bro, good game.'”
Prescott’s stat line in Philly would have been bigger if not for a few key drops by Lamb — mistakes the Pro Bowl wideout is determined to correct.
“I didn’t get any rest for really the whole weekend,” Lamb admitted. “That’s just the competitor that I am… I came up short on my end, but trust me. Just stay with me. I got you.”
Prescott remains confident in Lamb, “It wasn’t the best day for CeeDee and it’s understandable. It happens. I’ve had them, right? We’ve all had them. Nobody — especially me — is going to lose confidence in him… You can just tell just from his demeanor, he wants to make up for that.”
If Lamb has his sights set on a redemption game, the timing could not be better.
When both Lamb and Prescott are in the lineup, the Cowboys are a perfect 7-0 against the Giants.
“Y’all be having the craziest stats,” Lamb laughed when I told him the record. “We do a great job of just preparing the right way week in and week out. And then we just so happen to beat up on the Giants when we’re together.”
Of course, it doesn’t hurt that No. 4 has had the Giants’ number.
