Dallas police have worked on traffic control in the home’s Preston Hollow neighborhood.
DALLAS — They say everything is bigger in Texas, and that seems to hold true for a Preston Hollow home covered in lights that’s gone viral and dazzled both the Internet and passersby.
The nearly 9,000-square-foot home and yard in the 6200 block of Deloache Avenue twinkle with lights from top to bottom, including the yard, and the yard is lined with everything from decorative reindeer, nutcrackers, and a Santa with President-elect Trump’s face.
The house has drawn such a crowd that off-duty Dallas police officers were hired by a third party to help with traffic flow on the street.
The Dallas Police Department confirms on-duty police have been called to help with traffic there at times, too.
Dallas police said temporary street or intersection closures may be put in place if necessary to prevent crashes, but residents and guests will still be able to access the neighborhood.
“It is the goal of the Dallas Police Department to maintain a safe, steady flow of traffic,” Dallas police said in a statement. “Drivers visiting the neighborhood should not stop in the road, nor should pedestrians stand in the road or cross outside of marked crosswalks.”
