Ahead of the Cowboys game against the Bengals, the roof was opened at AT&T Stadium.
ARLINGTON, Texas — Monday night, the Cowboys will play the Cincinnati Bengals, and this time, the sky isn’t falling.
For the first time since Oct. 30, 2022, the Dallas Cowboys could play a game with the roof open at AT&T Stadium. WFAA crews said that the roof at AT&T Stadium was open hours before kickoff.
This isn’t the first time this season that the Cowboys organization has opened it up. In their last Monday Night Football game on Nov. 18 against the Houston Texans, the roof was opened for the first time in two years, and two sheets of metal fell: one all the way down to the field and the other getting wedged in the rafters.
The piece that fell on the field was taken away, but the one wedged was bolted down to the catwalk for the remainder of the game.

A team spokesperson told WFAA the metal sheets were lids, meant to cover trays of cables near the top of the stadium. Wind gusts shifted the trays as the roof opened, knocking off the lids.
A City of Arlington building inspector and a fire marshal determined there were no structural problems with the venue or its roof after the November incident, a team spokesperson said. Stadium staff also took steps in November to secure other cable tray covers.
Today, WFAA crews saw no signs of falling metal, and the roof will remain open for the Monday night game against Cincinnati.
