Dallas Cowboys rank as Forbes’ most profitable sports franchise in the world, report says

Forbes ranks the Dallas Cowboys as the most valuable and profitable sports franchise worldwide, valued at $13 billion with a $629 million operating income.

DALLAS — The Dallas Cowboys aren’t only the most valuable sports franchise in the world, they’re also the most profitable, according to a new report from Forbes.

Forbes looked at 211 franchises across 13 global leagues to come up with their 2025 valuations.

Jerry Jones’ squad came in at No. 1 for both lists – valued at $13 billion and posting an operating income of $629 million.

The Cowboys’ operating income is over $200 million higher than No. 2 Golden State Warriors ($409 million) and nearly $400 million more than any other global sports franchise outside of that.

Forbes’ methodology

The most profitable ranking reflects Forbes’ estimates of operating income (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) for the most recent season with available data (2024 for MLB, MLS, the NFL, the NWSL and the WNBA; 2024-25 for the NBA and the NHL; and 2023-24 for European soccer). The profit figures are in U.S. dollars and are rounded to the nearest $1 million.
