Dallas Cowboys reach long-term agreement to keep training camp in Oxnard, California, through 2030

The deal keeps the Dallas Cowboys training in Oxnard through the remainder of the decade, two front office sources with the team confirmed to WFAA.

DALLAS — The SoCal Cowboys are sticking around — for now.

On Monday, two front office sources with the Dallas Cowboys confirmed to WFAA that the team has entered an agreement to keep the Dallas Cowboys’ training camp in Oxnard, California, through 2030.

According to our partners at the Dallas Business Journal, the Cowboys had been in talks to keep training camp in the city for months. And, during its July 1 meeting, the Oxnard City Council approved a new five-year agreement with the team, the DBJ reported.

The Cowboys have called Oxnard home during the summer since 2001, with the exception of the summer of 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic shifted training camp closer to home at The Star in Frisco.

According to the DBJ, the deal stipulates that the Cowboys will retain ticket booth and souvenir revenue, and that the City of Oxnard retains revenue from concessions and parking.

This year, the Cowboys’ roster will converge on Oxnard for their first practice on July 22.

Things won’t be slowing down at all for the franchise come the fall, however. America’s Team will have to contend with a notoriously difficult schedule this season. Their regular season kicks off against the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025.
