The Cowboys entered the 2025 NFL Draft with 10 picks. They held the No. 12 overall pick in the first round after going 7-10 last season.
FRISCO, Texas — Welcome to DFW, Tyler Booker, you’re a Dallas Cowboy!
Booker was selected No. 12 overall by Dallas in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Who is Tyler Booker?
Booker is an offensive guard from the University of Alabama. Booker was a two-year starter for the Crimson Tide and a team captain.
Booker was a second-team All-American and first-team All-SEC in his junior season. He played 12 games at left guard and one game at left tackle.
Standing 6 feet, 5 inches and weighing 321 pounds, Booker ran a 5.38 40-yard dash, a 4.84 20-yard shuttle, a 7.96 three-cone drill, hit 21 reps on bench press (225 pounds) and a 27-inch vertical at the NFL Combine.
With the retirement of Zack Martin this offseason, the Cowboys will need Booker to step into some pretty big shoes. Taking the highest-rated interior offensive lineman in the draft is a good way to address filling the hole Martin left behind.
