The Dallas Mavericks’ game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday night is postponed after the Mavericks’ flight was delayed due to winter weather in Texas, the NBA announced Sunday afternoon.
A source on the Mavericks’ team plane told WFAA that the team had been sitting on a Dallas tarmac for several hours since 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Shortly before 3 p.m., the team was getting off the plane in Dallas, and the game was being postponed, sources said. It will likely be rescheduled for Feb. 19, according to sources.
The game in Milwaukee was scheduled for 6 p.m.
The game had been scheduled to air on WFAA sister station KFAA 29, the broadcast home of the Mavs. But due to the delay, it will not air on KFAA Sunday night.
Dallas was hit by winter weather over the weekend, and icy conditions persisted throughout the day.
Despite the winter weather, the Mavericks’ game against the Los Angeles Lakers went on as planned Saturday night at the American Airlines Center.
