SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Spurs‘ 2025 Summer League standout David Jones-Garcia has reportedly inked a two-way contract with the team, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Jones-Garcia made an impression during his play at the California Classic and Las Vegas Summer League, earning All-Summer League First-Team honors at both tournaments.
In the Vegas games, he averaged 21.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. He connected on 52.7 percent shooting from the field and 52.9 percent from the three-point line.
He reportedly turned down a lucrative offer from Greek club Olympiacos to remain with the Spurs, according to EuroHoops.
“David Jones-Garcia turned down an offer from EuroLeague powerhouse Olympiacos Piraeus to continue with the San Antonio Spurs, according to Eurohoops sources.”
Jones-Garcia opened eyes with his play on the court at the California Classic and Las Vegas Summer League.
The undrafted guard would seemingly fit well in San Antonio; however, the Spurs are loaded with guards, and playing time may be an issue for him. He is likely to split time between San Antonio and Austin with the G League team, the Austin Spurs.
He will also take part in the 2025 Spurs training camp and preseason games.
Jones-Garcia has played with the Philadelphia Sixers, Utah Jazz, the G League’s Salt Lake City Stars, and the G League’s Capitanes.
