Day four of Special Olympics Texas Fall Classic features golf in Midland

Day four of the Texas Special Olympics teed off with golf at Hogan Park as energy ran high.

MIDLAND, Texas — Day four of the Texas Olympic Fall Classic had athletes taking to the course for some golf at Hogan Park.

The energy was in full swing, as the event brought together athletes from across Texas for a weekend of competition, community and inclusion. More than 2,500 athletes and 5,000 spectators are expected to participate in a variety of events, including bocce, golf, softball, swimming and fundamental sports.

Athletes like Joey and his partner Brandon hit the greens with confidence.

“We did pretty good out there. he had a couple of awesome drives that put us in a good position, and also, Brandon, he had a good drive set as well,” said Brandon and Joey, two participants in the Special Olympics event.
