BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — A daycare employee has been accused of injuring a child at a licensed daycare facility in North Bexar County.
BCSO responded to a report of a child injury Tuesday at the facility. They were able to review surveillance video from inside a classroom.
The video showed Veronica Jimenez, 50, forcefully grabbing a child by their arm, causing the child to hit their head on classroom furniture and falling to the floor. The child was evaluated for a head injury.
After watching the video, the management fired Jimenez and notified officials.
BCSO says Jimenez’s account of the incident did not match what was seen on video.
An arrest warrant was obtained for Jimenez and she was arrested and charged with injury to a child, reckless bodily injury.
According to jail records, Jimenez was released the same day.
