SAN ANTONIO — The Gonzales County Constable’s Office Pct. 1, is investigating a case of animal cruelty after a gruesome discovery along a deserted County Road.
The Constable’s Office Pct.1 received a report of a dog crate on the side of the road on Wednesday, June 25.
The Deputy Constable located the crate on County Road 239. The crate was covered in a blue tarp and a large dead dog was found inside. Authorities were unable to determine what breed the dog was due to the level of decomposition.
The case is currently being investigated as animal cruelty.
