It is against the law to kill a deer out of season.
NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — Officials are asking for your help in identifying whoever shot a deer with an arrow and left it for dead in New Braunfels.
A white-tailed buck was found shot from the roadway near 109 Mission Drive in New Braunfels in Comal County on June 25.
Texas Game Wardens say that it was shot with a black, green, and white crossbow bolt, possibly of the “Rage” brand, tipped with an expandable broadhead.
The buck was left to bleed out and the carcass and meat were abandoned and wasted.
