
A San Antonio dentist faces charges, accused of assaulting a 21-year-old woman and holding her captive, according to officials.
SAN ANTONIO — A dentist is in jail after being accused of sexually assaulting a 21-year-old woman.
The alleged assault happened Monday afternoon, and police say the man locked her inside a home on the northeast-side until law enforcement arrived.
San Antonio police say 34-year-old Eric Tong is facing multiple charges, including aggravated sexual assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and assault causing injury to a family member.
San Antonio police did not go into detail on how Tong and the 21-year-old woman know each other, but officers were called to a home on Pinecrest just before 1:30 p.m. Monday afternoon.
Upon arrival, police say the woman was injured and asking for help at the door.
She told officers Tong allegedly assaulted her several times and restrained her when she tried to leave.
Tong was found inside the home and arrested by officers.
With his charges, Tong has a total bond of $270,000.
He was also given an emergency protective order and ordered to have no contact with the victim.
