Devin Vassell to have his high school jersey retired; Chris Paul, Stephon Castle featured in commercial filmed in San Antonio

Vassell’s No. 24 high school jersey will be raised to the rafters.

SAN ANTONIO — Congratulations to San Antonio Spurs‘ Devin Vassell, as his Peachtree Ridge High School basketball jersey will be retired.

The school announced that Vassell’s No. 24 jersey will be raised to the rafters Tuesday night in his hometown of  Suwanee, Georgia.

His family, friends and Spurs teammates will be in attendance to support his basketball milestone.

“Join us as we put @devin_vassell #24 in the rafters on 2/4 vs Berkmar. @devin_vassell, his family, and @spurs will be in attendance. Let’s celebrate one of Ridge All Time Greats,” posted the high school on social media.

In his senior year, Vassell averaged 21.6 points and 8.9 rebounds per game before committing to Florida State.

SPURS PAUL AND CASTLE FEATURED IN NEW COMMERCIAL FILMED IN SAN ANTONIO

A new Toyota commercial filmed in San Antonio featuring Chris Paul and Stephon Castle has been released, highlighting their efforts to impact the community.

In it, Paul drives to pick up Castle as they make their way to the Boys and Girls Club of San Antonio.

While driving, the two discuss winning, and Paul praises the rookie guard’s skill set. They also discuss helping kids have a better life. Once they reach their destination, they present the Club with a $10,000 check.
