Disney Cruise Line is adding more Galveston sailings starting in late 2026, including new voyages to Mexico, The Bahamas and beyond.
GALVESTON, Texas — Disney Cruise Line is making it easier for Texas families to set sail without leaving the state. Starting in late 2026, the Disney Magic will launch an extended season of cruises from Galveston, with itineraries running through spring 2027.
New voyages from Galveston
From November 2026 to April 2027, the Disney Magic will offer four-, five- and seven-night sailings. Some itineraries will head to Mexico, stopping in Cozumel’s beach resorts and the historic port of Progreso. Others will include a Bahamian getaway with stops at Nassau and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.
What’s new for California travelers
Disney is also expanding its presence on the West Coast. For the first time, San Diego will host two Disney ships.
- The Disney Magic will spend two months in California in fall 2026 before moving to Galveston on a 14-night cruise with stops in Puerto Vallarta, Cartagena and Grand Cayman.
- The Disney Wonder will stay in San Diego for seven months, sailing three- to seven-night trips to Catalina Island, Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada and Puerto Vallarta.
Holiday cruises return
Disney’s themed sailings are also back. “Halloween on the High Seas” will run September through October 2026, followed by “Very Merrytime Cruises” in November and December. Guests can expect festive décor, seasonal treats and themed activities on board.
