Do you have what it takes to be the Chief of Cheer?

SAN ANTONIO — If your dream job involves cozy blankets, cocoa, and back-to-back holiday movies, this might be the perfect gig.

CableTV.com has launched its annual festive dream job, searching for its 2025 “Chief of Cheer,” a holiday-focused role sponsored by DIRECTV.

The job description? Watch 25 holiday movies in 25 days — and get paid for it.

The lucky winner will earn $2,500, plus a holiday “signing bonus” that includes access to top seasonal streaming services such as DIRECTV Stream and Hallmark+, ensuring they can binge every classic and new release with ease.

But the cheer doesn’t stop there. CableTV.com says it will also donate $2,500 to a charity of the winner’s choice, powered through Givinga.

Applications for the position are open now through December 3, 2025.
