‘Don’t give up on your loved ones’ | Sister seeks to inspire after brother’s tragic end at Woodlawn Lake

Kevin Clint Frago’s family said his death at Woodlawn Lake was a suicide due to mental struggles.

SAN ANTONIO — A man lost his life in Woodlawn Lake Monday, and his family said it was no accident that Kevin Clint Frago took his own life.

Kevin’s sister Princess Frago wants to help people understand how and why he was struggling.

Princess said an abusive upbringing and mental battles led her brother to take his life. She wants to send a message and remind people of the human who was lost.

Peace is what Princess said her brother found.

“He was struggling with himself, he didn’t know who to trust, he felt that anything and everyone was after him,” she said.

Though she wishes it wouldn’t have gotten to this point. Princess remembers her brother as caring and loving.

“He would babysit for me if I needed something. He would sit in the park and also feed the homeless.”

In 2020, Princess said he fell on hard times again, but regained his strength. She thought that time he would be better for good.

“He said, ‘Hey, I gave my life to Jesus, I got saved at Haven for Hope,’ and I was excited and happy.”

On Monday, authorities said a man jumped into the water at Woodlawn Lake.

They tried to save him, but Frago never resurfaced.

“He listened to the lies of the enemy and the lies of the darkness, and he allowed to bring himself down.’”

Through his tragedy, she hopes to inspire someone else to check in once in a while.

“Don’t give up on your loved ones, even if they try to shut you out, you never know when they’re going to take their life. A lot of times they can make that threat, what if one day they don’t make that threat and they do kill themselves, make sure everyone is okay.”

Princess has created a GoFundMe to raise money for funeral expenses. Click here to donate.
