
Troopers called San Antonio police to help find the suspect and a K-9 was used to find the man, according to officials.
SAN ANTONIO — Authorities say a pursuit on the west side of San Antonio ended in a bailout and the arrest of a wanted man, after he allegedly tried hiding from police.
Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety needed the assistance of San Antonio police to make the arrest.
It was around 7:30 p.m. Monday evening when troopers were chasing a wanted suspect driving a black Dodge Charger along Culebra Road and 38th Street.
At some point during the chase, the suspect bailed out of his vehicle at the intersection of Coyol Street and 38th Street and led authorities on a foot chase.
According to a witness, the man jumped several fences and ended up in the backyard of a home on Azucena Street and 38th Street.
San Antonio police say they were called by DPS troopers to help them find the suspect.
Police say the man was found hiding in the residents backyard and witnesses say that a K-9 was used to find the suspect.
Authorities on scene could not provide any details on why the suspect was wanted but he was taken into custody.
