Dream job alert: Astros need handler for Orbit

You’re required to go to each Astros home game.

HOUSTON — We are counting down to the start of Astros baseball. Pitchers and catchers report to West Palm Beach Thursday and if you love the team, there’s a perfect opportunity for you.

The Astros say Orbit, the team’s mascot, is in need of a new handler. The team put up the job posting just a few days ago. The gig requires someone who can be the eyes, ears, and voice of the Hall of Fame mascot.

You’ll also need to be prepared to carry Orbit supplies, like shirts, autograph cards, and props. The gig is part time and you’ll be required to be at every home game two hours before first pitch.

Do you think you have what it takes to be Orbit’s handler? You can apply here on the Astros website.

And stay with KHOU 11 for complete Astros Spring Training coverage in West Palm Beach.
