SAN ANTONIO — More details are emerging after a school bus crash caused major traffic delays Tuesday morning on San Antonio’s southwest side.
The crash happened around 8:15 a.m. along Loop 410 South near FM 2536, also known as Old Pearsall Road, after a Southwest Independent School District bus overturned on the access road.
According to SWISD, 33 students from Southwest Legacy High School were on board at the time of the crash. District officials said none of the students were seriously injured.
EMS crews and school nurses were at the scene checking students as a precaution.

Several other students reported minor injuries, according to fire officials.
Traffic in the area is expected to remain backed up for several hours as crews work to clear the scene and investigate what led to the crash.
