A car crashed into a west-side liquor store Thursday morning after police say the driver accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake.
SAN ANTONIO — A vehicle crashed into a west-side liquor store Thursday morning after the driver accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Police said the incident happened around 10 a.m. at Don’s & Ben’s Liquor Store in the 8300 block of Culebra Road.
According to SAPD, the driver mistakenly stepped on the gas pedal, causing the car to go through the front of the business and shatter the front glass. The store’s front door also sustained damage.
Officers said several customers were inside at the time of the crash, but no one was injured or transported to a hospital.
The vehicle was removed from the scene by a tow truck. The driver showed no signs of intoxication, according to officials.
Police said the incident remains under investigation.
