Police are still looking for the suspects who fled the Camaro after the crash, as well as those who stole it earlier this week.
SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police continue to look for the suspects who fled a stolen car after it hit a trailer being pulled by a bus Thursday afternoon, killing four people riding inside.
The collision caused the bus to lose control and veer into the path of an 18-wheeler, which crashed into it and caused it to roll, according to an SAPD incident report.
The white Camaro was speeding along Interstate 35 near Cassin Road when the crash unfolded around 2:30 p.m.. At least one of the four people who jumped out of the car was believed to have an AK-style rifle, SAPD Chief William McManus said at the scene.
The bus belonged to Transported Guerras and was en route to Eagle Pass from Fort Worth, a representative with the company said. Instead of getting to their destination, 15 people were taken to the hospital, including some children.
As of Friday afternoon, one child and two adults remain hospitalized in fair condition.
Our sister station WFAA confirmed through family that 50-year-old Jose Hector Guerra, also known as Tito, is among those killed in the crash. He was driving the bus at the time.

The Bexar County medical examiner identified the other victims as 69-year-old Rosalio Aguilera and two women, ages 42 and 78, whose names haven’t been released.
Stolen, then wrecked
KENS 5 has also obtained surveillance video showing the moments when two men stole the Camaro from a driveway in northeast Bexar County on Monday, three days before it was involved in the fatal crash.
Police confirmed it’s the same car at the center of both incidents.
The two suspects seen in the video have not, however, been named suspects in the crash. It’s unknown if they were in the car when it went speeding down I-35 on Thursday.
