
A hit-and-run incident on San Antonio’s south side has left a bicyclist injured, with police seeking leads on an unidentified driver who fled the scene.
SAN ANTONIO — A bicyclist was injured early Sunday morning after being hit by a driver that fled the scene on the south side of town, according to San Antonio police.
The crash happened just after midnight in the 6900 block of South Flores near Division Avenue. Police say a 43-year-old man was riding his bike in the southeast lanes when he heard a vehicle honking behind him. Moments later, an unknown vehicle hit the back of his bicycle, throwing him to the ground.
The driver did not stop or provide aid, police said. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Investigators currently have no description of the vehicle or driver. The case remains active, and police say all information is preliminary and subject to change as the investigation continues.
