Dumpster fire in northeast SA sends smoke plumes into the sky

SAN ANTONIO — Smoke rose into the sky over in northeast San Antonio and could be seen for several miles around as local fire crews responded to an apparent dumpster fire in the area of Randolph Boulevard and Mann Weimer Way.

No injuries have been reported in the blaze, which sparked around 7:45 p.m. The incident commander on scene said two “roll-off containers” were on fire, but propane cylinders in one of them were fueling the flames.

This is a developing story.
