Dylan Harper set to get his first San Antonio mural; Throws out the first pitch at Yankees game

A mural of Dylan Harper in San Antonio is being made before he officially joins the NBA.

SAN ANTONIO — He is not even an official member of the San Antonio Spurs, but that is not stopping him from getting his first San Antonio mural.

The popular Southside seafood spot, Rudy’s Seafood, is adding Harper’s likeness to its massive collection of Spurs murals, which honors players from the past and present.

San Antonio artist Nik Soupe (who created all the murals at Rudy’s Seafood) is starting the process of having Harper on the mural. It will feature him in an Icon Edition jersey and will likely have his name splashed near him once complete.

This is just like what Soupe did for Victor Wembanyama before he was officially a Spur ahead of NBA Draft night.

At Rudy’s, you will find murals of David Robinson, Manu Ginobili, Keldon Johnson, Devin Vassell, Victor Wembanyama, and Jeremy Sochan, to name a few. Even the Spurs mascot, the Coyote, has a mural, as does De’Aaron Fox and Gregg Popovich.

The soon-to-be Harper mural is at 4122 S. Flores St., 78214.

HARPER THROWS OUT THE FIRST PITCH AT A NY YANKEE BASEBALL GAME

As Wembanyama did a few days before he was drafted by the Spurs in 2023, the consensus No. 2 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Harper, was invited to Yankee Stadium to throw out the first ceremonial pitch of a game.

Harper shared the moment on social media, complete with his own New York Yankees jersey.

The presumptive No. 2 pick by the Spurs nailed the pitch, but first things first: Putting on that Spurs NBA Draft Day cap and starting his pro-journey in San Antonio.
