That’s one way to start the season.
DALLAS — It didn’t take long for things to get chippy in Philadelphia on Thursday night.
Right after the opening kickoff of the Dallas Cowboys versus the Philadelphia Eagles game, an Eagles player went down with an injury, causing a momentary pause in action while the Cowboys offense took the field, along with the Eagles defense.
During this time, Eagles star defensive lineman Jalen Carter appeared to be talking to the Cowboys’ offensive line when quarterback Dak Prescott stepped forward to come face-to-face with Carter.
A few seconds into the exchange, Carter appeared to spit on Prescott, causing the refs to throw a flag for unsportsmanlike conduct. Subsequently, refs determined that this act was apparently unsportsmanlike enough to eject Carter from the game, and it would prove to be his final “play” of the night.
After the ejection, the Cowboys drove down the field with relative ease to score the first points of the game. The Cowboys sit ahead of the Eagles 7-0 in the first quarter.
