
Firefighters knocked down a third-floor apartment fire early Monday morning at an apartment complex, with no injuries reported.
SAN ANTONIO — Firefighters responded to an early-morning apartment fire just north of downtown that sent heavy smoke into the air but caused no injuries, officials said.
The fire was reported around 2:32 a.m. Monday at an apartment complex in the 1030 block of Sahara, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.
Fire crews arrived to find heavy smoke showing and flames on the backside of the building on the third floor, officials said. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze, and no one was inside the affected building at the time.
No injuries were reported.
Fire investigators were called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire. At this time, there is no damage estimate available.
The San Antonio Police Department also responded to assist at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing, and details are subject to change.
