Early morning house fire damages home in northeast San Antonio, officials say

Firefighters quickly put out a house fire on the northeast side early Thursday morning. Everyone inside the home made it out safely.

SAN ANTONIO — Firefighters responded to an early morning house fire on the northeast side of San Antonio that damaged part of a home but left everyone inside safe.

According to the San Antonio Fire Department, crews were called around 1:24 a.m. Thursday to the 4400 block of Eisenhauer Road.

When firefighters arrived, they found a working fire in the back of the house, according to a battalion chief at the scene.

Officials say everyone inside the home was able to get out safely before firefighters arrived.

Crews were able to quickly knock down the flames, but the fire still caused damage to about a quarter of the home.

Fire investigators are now working to determine what caused the fire.

The San Antonio Police Department also responded to the scene.

Officials say no injuries were reported.
