LUFKIN, Texas — An East Texas man and a dog inside his car were killed after a two-vehicle crash in Lufkin Saturday morning.
Demarcus Hadnot, 26, of Pollok, died after a crash on College Drive at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, according to the Lufkin Police Department. His passenger, Paige Turner, 24, was flown to a Tyler hospital, and a dog in their car died at the scene.
Police said Hadnot was going west on College Drive near the entrance to the Texas Bible College when a Mercedes driven by George Fidone, 65, of Lufkin, hit Hadnot’s Kia. Fidone has non-life threatening injuries.
