Eastside San Antonio business out thousands of dollars after early morning burglary

SAN ANTONIO — The owners of Boss and Cupid’s are out thousands of dollars after a burglar busted his way in early Thursday morning.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. Thursday off of Rigsby Avenue on the east side of San Antonio.

In the surveillance video, a man can be seen busting door to immediately start grabbing merchandise.

Boss and Cupid’s co-owner Kevin Stansell says the man threw rocks and used a crowbar to break the door bringing a trash bag with him.

Stansell adds the man had others with him outside the window.

The store has been open for seven years, and Stansell says this is first time he’s having a problem like this.

“It had to be somebody that had walked in here, seen them and probably asked about them. I was going to go through my footage just go back and see if it’s anybody that looks like the person that broke in and did it,” said Stansell.

Stansell says the man ran off with nearly $2000 of stolen goods.

He shared it on Facebook for help finding the culprit.

“You just lose faith in humanity. People break into your stuff, you work hard for things, and people just break in and take it,” said Stansell.

For now, Stansell is working to prevent another burglar.

SAPD say this is an active investigation.

Stansell is offering a reward for any info leading to an arrest, so if you know anything, please give police a call.
